Homecare Training |
Our care and support staff have to comply with our policy of regularly attending training and development courses. All of our care and support staff have completed the following vocational training:
- Skills for Care Common Induction Standards
- Basic First Aid
- Manual Handling
- Health and Safety, including fire training
- Basic Food Hygiene
- POVA
- Medication
Many of our care and support workers have completed their NVQ level 2/3 in Health & Social Care. We aim to have all our care and support workers commencing their NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care within the year.
We also deliver a wide range of other care related courses of which we aim to ensure all our care and support staff will also attend and complete within the first six months of joining our company. Examples of other courses we deliver are as follows:
- Managing challenging behaviour
- Understanding mental health
- Dementia care
- Infection control
